MORE THAN
A ROLE

This isn’t a job board listing. Every person at FlyForward is helping build something that didn’t exist before - a genuine support system for young people trying to break into aviation.

All current positions are voluntary. As FlyForward grows and secures funding, we are committed to transitioning roles to paid positions. Every hour you give now directly shapes what this organisation becomes.

Real Impact From Day One
Your work directly opens doors for students who’d otherwise have none. You’ll see the difference you’re making - fast.
Build Genuine Experience
Work at the heart of a growing charity. Gain skills in operations, partnerships, communications, and more - in a real-world environment.
Industry Connections
Work alongside our partner organisations and build a network inside the UK aviation world from the ground up.
Shape the Organisation
We’re early. Your ideas will actually get heard - and acted on. This is your chance to help define what FlyForward becomes.

OUR KIND OF PERSON

We don’t recruit based on CVs alone. These are the four things that matter most to us.

01
Kindness
We’re building a community where young people feel genuinely welcomed. We want people who lead with warmth and treat everyone - members, partners, teammates - with real care.
02
Willing to Help
No task is beneath anyone here. If something needs doing, you do it. We value people who show up for each other and for our members without being asked.
03
Genuinely Interested
You don’t need a pilot’s licence - but you do need to care. Whether it’s aviation, youth opportunity, or simply doing something meaningful, that curiosity has to be real.
04
Ready for Action
We move fast and we like people who move with us. If you see something that could be better, fix it. If there’s an opportunity, grab it. We don’t wait around.

COMMON
QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before applying.

Still have a question?
Not at all. We care far more about your attitude, your commitment, and your willingness to learn than any prior aviation knowledge. Many of our team had zero industry background - what they had was enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference.
All current roles are voluntary. FlyForward is a registered charity in its early stages. As we grow and secure funding, transitioning positions to paid is a core commitment - every volunteer who joins now will be first in line when that happens.
Typically around 3–6 hours per week, depending on the role. We understand that volunteers have busy lives and we work flexibly around your schedule. We’ll always be upfront about expectations before you join.
Yes - if you genuinely feel you’re a strong fit for multiple roles, feel free to apply to each separately. We’d recommend tailoring your personal statement to each role rather than sending the same one across.
All roles are remote-friendly and the team operates primarily online. We’re a UK-wide organisation and welcome applicants from anywhere in the country. Some roles may occasionally involve in-person events, but nothing requiring relocation.
You don’t need to attach a CV to apply - your personal statement and LinkedIn (if you have one) are enough to start the conversation. If we progress to a chat, we may ask for a CV then, but it’s never a barrier to applying.
We aim to respond within 7 days. If we invite you to a chat, we’ll schedule it within a fortnight. From start to finish, most people know where they stand within 2–3 weeks of applying.
